We look to this breeding to produce breed type, movement and personality.  In doing this
breeding, the Amethyst line will be solidified but incorporating
the unique traits of the British Gordons and some of the old MacAlder/Gordon
Hill/Glen Oak.  We expect lovely headpieces, great movement and overall
              superb temperaments.
Status of this litter:  This litter has
been bred and will be due on or about April 29, 2006.

Kismet's registered name is Amethyst Don't Give Up On Me. He is the son of

Ch. Hernwood Crystal Snowfall  (Blizzard) x  Trial by
Fire o' Amethyst (Ice).   Blizzard is Amethyst's UK Import.  In
November of 2000, he was imported into the US from breeder
friends, Peter Sandiford and Christine Sandiford (Hernwood-UK).
Blizzard quickly earned 5 points from puppy classes and then took
a hiatus to grow up.  He came back with a bang earning a
5-point specialty win in Des Moines, IA (2004) going WD and Best
of Winners under Canadian judge, Mr. F.P. Onderichsen.  The next
day, Blizzard, earned WD/BOW under Mr. Sam Houston McDonald for
his second major and on the third day, he earned WD for two more
points to finish his championship.  He is living with a
wonderful family in Minnesota and is their pride and joy.  He
is a well-mannered dog and has good hunting instincts too. Ice is Amethyst Gordon Setters' resident
matriarch.  She has proved very capable in the whelping
box.  Out of a frozen semen breeding to Am/Can/Mex Ch.
MacAlder Best For Shojin (Chipper) Ice has produced two champions
namely, Ch. Amethyst's Stormin' Back 'n Time (Twister) and Ch.
Amethyst's Black In Time, JH (Coal).  Both Coal and Twister
have done extremely well in the show ring.  Coal was the #14
Gordon for purposes of the AKC/Eukanuba Invitational Tournament
(2005-2006) and #16 overall (calendar year).  He earned his
JH with Ron Pfeil (Alainn Gordons handling him).  He has
incredible drive and instinct as a hunter and that's where his
real love is; in the hunt.  Sister Twister has done well as a
young girl.  She won Best of Opposite (Sweeps) at the 2003
NODROG Specialty from the 9-12 month class and Reserve Winners
Bitch at the 2004 Great Lakes Specialty from Bred-by Exhibitor
class.  She placed consistently in large bred-by classes at
specialties during her road to her championship.  She
finished her championship in September 2004 by winning a 3-point
major under Mr. Sam Houston McDonald.  Ice has several other
offspring major pointed and pointed.  She is out of Ch. Glen
Oaks' Firedance o' Amethyst (Fire) and MacAlder J'Amethyst Royale
              (Storm). Kismet -

                  Exemplifies the classic Gordon look
and movement that we strive for
                  Wonderful personality and all-around
                  good family dog.
Kismet is now major-pointed toward his championship
title in extremely limited showing.   |

Keno stacked in the yard. | Keno is a bitch out of Ch. Shojin's Somewhere in
Time (Dude) who was one of those dogs that is just a fun-lovin',
high-spirited dog.  Keno is her father's daughter.  She
is out of Amethyst's Firelight o' Life (Ember) who is a
full-sister to Trial by Fire o' Amethyst (Ice) but from a repeat
breeding.   Both girls bring to the whelping box different
traits and personalities.  Ember is a very energetic girl and
just so easy-going.  She is more brightly marked than her
sister Ice.  She currently resides with her nephew, Coal, in
St. Louis with Bob Bertram.   Ember is the mother of two champions, out of
Amethyst's Black 'n' Basic Jazz (Basie).  Ch. Amethyst's
Jazzy Aidan, JH, CGC, TDI (Aidan) is the sweetest boy and a good
hunting dog as well.  He resides with Ron and Gwen Pfeil (Alainn).
Ch. Amethyst's Wager With the Wind (Casey) lives in the frozen
tundra of Alaska and belongs to Bob Anderson.  Both boys are
typey and very much like their mom.   Keno -

                  Wonderful personality and all-around good
                  family dog
Has 10 points including both majors toward her
championship.  She will be finished after her maternity
                  leave.
                  Beautiful headpiece, compact, short-backed
bitch with movement and drive. |
